四国別格二十霊場の第十五番札所。椿堂から27キロの道のり。本尊は金毘羅大権現。開基は弘法大師と伝えられている。香川県の金刀比羅宮の奥の院でもあり、神仏習合時代の名残りを残す。山の尾根を活かした伽藍は大きく山門から山頂近くの本殿（当寺では本堂ではなく本殿と呼ぶ）まで769段の階段がある。本殿から大師堂へ向かう途中に土砂降りの雨が降り、しばし大樹の陰で雨宿りした。静寂のなか大師堂の灯りが美しい。
That is the 15th temple of Shikoku exceptional Sacred Sites.27 km from Tsubakido.The principal image is Konpira Daigongen. The temple is said to have been founded by Kobo Daishi. It is also the Oku no in (inner sanctuary) of Kotohira-gu Shrine in Kagawa Prefecture, and remains of the era of syncretism of Shinto and Buddhism. The monastery that makes use of the mountain ridge is large and there are 769 steps from the temple gate to the main shrine (In this temple, it is called Honden instead of Hondo.) near the top of the mountain. On the way from the main shrine to the Daishi-do hall, it rained heavily and I took shelter from the rain for a while in the shade of a large tree. The light of Daishi-do is beautiful in silence.
四国特別朝圣的第十五座寺庙。距椿堂27公里的路程。本尊是金比罗大权现。相传开基是弘法大师。也是香川县的金刀比罗宫的内殿,保留着神佛调和时代的遗迹。活用了山脊的伽蓝很大,从山门到山顶附近的正殿(本寺不叫本堂而叫本殿)为止有769级的台阶。从正殿前往大师堂的途中下了倾盆大雨,暂时在大树的背后避雨。寂静中大师堂的灯光非常美丽。
