四国八十八カ所霊場の第七十二番札所。行基が開創。本尊は大日如来。弥谷寺から当寺へは曼荼羅寺道を歩いた。曼荼羅寺道は国指定史跡讃岐遍路道の1つで、古よりよりその姿を留めているという。竹藪に沿って歩いていると大きな猪が私に驚いたのかすぐ傍を叫びながら走り抜けて行った。危うくぶつかるところだった。当寺はゆったりとした構えの境内で大日如来のお姿がとても端正である。
That is the 72 th temple of Shikoku 88temple pilgrimage.This temple was founded by Gyoki. The principal image is the Dainichi Nyorai.I walked the Mandaraji-michi Road from Iyadaniji to this temple. Mandaraji-michi is one of the Sanuki-henromichi pilgrimage routes designated as a national historic site, and it is said to have been preserved since ancient times. As I walked along the bamboo grove, a big wild boar seemed surprised at me and ran away shouting beside me. I almost ran into him. The statue of Dainichi Nyorai is beautifully presented in this temple precinct.
四国八十八个朝圣的第七十二座寺庙。行基开创的寺院。主佛是大日如来。从弥谷寺到本寺走过了曼荼罗寺道。曼荼罗寺道是国家指定历史遗迹赞岐巡礼道路之一,据说从古代开始就保持着那样的姿态。沿着竹林走着,大野猪好像吓了我一跳,就在旁边呼喊着跑了过去。差一点就撞上了。本寺内结构宽敞,大日如来的姿态十分端庄。
