四国八十八カ所霊場の第七十一番札所。聖武天皇の命により行基が開創。本尊は千手観世音菩薩。本山寺から約11キロの里山を歩き当寺へ。標高382メートルの弥谷山の中腹にあり、山門に入っても急峻な階段が続く。境内は岩山に包まれ山岳のムードが濃い。弘法大師が幼少の頃、当寺内の岩窟で修行したという。本堂からは讃岐らしい穏やかな眺めを楽しめる。
That is the 71 th temple of Shikoku 88temple pilgrimage.The temple was founded by Gyoki under the order of Emperor Shoumu. The principal image is the Senjyu Kanzeon Bosatsu, It is located in the middle of Mt.Iyadani at an altitude of 382 meters, and there were steep stairs even after entering the temple gate. The grounds of this temple are surrounded by rocky mountains and have a strong mountain atmosphere. It is said that Kobo Daishi trained himself in a cave in this temple when he was a child. From the main hall you can enjoy a peaceful view typical of Sanuki.
四国八十八个朝圣的第七十一座寺庙。奉圣武天皇之命由行基开创寺院。主佛是千手观世音菩萨。距离本山寺约11公里的山林步行前往本寺。位于海拔为三百八十二米的弥谷山的半山腰,即使进入山门也延续着陡峭的楼梯。院内被岩山包围,山岳的气氛很浓厚。据说弘法大师幼年的时候,在本寺内的岩窟修行过。从正殿可以欣赏到赞岐特有的恬静景色。
